Ricky Morrison is one of London’s most respected DJs. For as long as there have been House parties, he has been there. He became synonymous with that ‘U.S Garage Sound’, put together with a distinctive UK edge. He has played at pretty much every major nightclub around the world associated with Soulful House Music and is highly respected and LOVED in Italy.

In the mid 90s, Ricky formed M&S Productions with his long time friend, Fran Sidoli. They were amongst the first UK Producers to appear on the legendary ‘Strictly Rhythm Records’. They went on to release massive underground anthems and their remixes of huge artists at the time on some of the biggest labels catapulted them even further onto the Worldwide stage. Huge commercial success followed for a tune that was a massive underground hit for some months earlier; In 2000 ‘M&S Productions presents the Girl Next Door’ had a top 10 UK hit (huge around the world also) with ‘Salsoul Nugget’. It was signed to Pete Tong’s ‘FFRR’. This track received a supposed “ridiculous advance” of many zeros (there’s even talk in here of a ‘Ghost Production’ phase that also brought them huge success which I’d forgotten all about!)

Really… there aren’t many more accomplished, revered and knowledgable people in the UK than Ricky Morrison and this will be another great addition to the multitude of conversations had on this channel.
