Last November we acquired a lovely little stray ginger kitten from our friend Suella who does a lot for local strays and abandoned pets in the area. She had called him ‘Merlin’, by some strange coincidence this is also her pet name for me (thanks to all the wonders I conjure up for VB). This was before she had any inkling we would be interested in taking on any more pets to join Bouncer and our mad,bad cat, Toby.
Cut a long story short we had Merlin off her and he enjoyed just over 5 months in the house and gave us hours upon hours of fun. Him and Toby were always running around the house in screeching play battles and Bouncer used to enjoy what appeared to be mopping the floor tiles with Merlin, with his mouth around the cat’s neck. The cat loved it.
Well some wanker has obviously nicked him from outside the house now, as he hasn’t returned for 3 days and is nowhere to be seen on the estate, as well as the fact that he had never really ventured further than the grass opposite when walking the dog with us. Apparently ginger toms are quite rare too.. who knows ?
He will be missed. It is such a shame as the other two clearly are pining for him and Michelle and the kids do too.
This is a blog to remember him. I hope I am wrong and he comes back after having a few dirty nights away on the job.
