Before I made a name for myself, there was already a DJ named Andy Ward flying the flag for great music up north. At the time, I had no idea and it wasn’t until I a few years later I realised when I saw my name appear in Mixmag at events I wasn’t booked to play at.
Unbelievably, almost 30 years on, I FINALLY got to speak to him, years after secretly taking all the credit amongst my mates for HIS name up in lights.
