Two hours in glorious technicolour, giving you an insight on how I put the Vocal Booth Club Sessions together.
3 x CDJ 1000s and a DJM 800 are the perfect tools and more or less industry standard in most clubs around the world.
The whole idea of doing these broadcasts are to show how I use the mixer, the way I bring each track into the mix and use the effects etc.
Keep your eyes on the lights for levels on each channel and for when the 3 decks are in use. The white lines on the EQ knobs give an indication of how I use those also.
I don’t claim to be the best mixer in the world but I do pride myself on trying to be as tight in the mix as possible, unless there’s Vodka involved… then it’s a game of Russian Roulette each mix.
If you enjoyed this or felt it useful, let me know and I can do them as often as I record the podcast if the feedback requires.
These videos are actually embedded on my home page, so whenever you visit be sure to take a look in the bottom right hand corner for the video pane.
What you see is Episode 63 being recorded (while the audio on the video may distort in places, the podcast will be fine), the full tracklist and mix will be available as a podcast on Saturday 13th November. If you aren’t yet, be sure to subscribe here

Well done Andy… Although I don’t mix’em and can’t learn much, I sure love watching you work. Thanks for the great music and I love being able to see how you construct the mix. The more of these the better.
