Wow.. I LOVED doing this mix.
I had every intention of making it an easy listening two hours with some lovely vocals, however more or less on the hour mark I couldn’t help but get drawn to some amazing dubs I haven’t really listened to fully… and boy, was I impressed !
I have had a lot of my professional DJ companions complaining recently about there not being any good music about, well listening to the latter part of this mix I have to heavily disagree ! The problem lies with the people willing to accept it on the floors, no more and no less. Having not played in a club since Australia, I was feeling that I was losing a bit of the hunger to rock a crowd but now I am ready and excited to delve deeper into my dubs and try a new angle out there… time will tell how it pans out.
I went out last night to a local charity gig as mentioned on the show last Thursday, had a few Vodkas and laughs with a couple of the Vocal Booth Family members and got excited all over again about September.
