Seeing as there is a hell of a lot of web traffic being directed here now since people can’t find me on Facebook, I thought I’d take the opportunity to go over the site and let you know all that is featured here.
By far the most effective way for you to keep up-to-date with everything I send out, subscribe to my blog. By clicking this link and following a few simple instructions, you get added to the mailing list, so every time I post anything thru the site you get it sent direct to your inbox. If it’s anything of interest then you can follow the story back here or ignore it as you see fit.
The site has many functions.
First and foremost is to share the music. By clicking this link you can find out how to catch me on air every week, as well as details of my new show for the Australian and Far East audience. By then clicking the podcast page, you can see all my latest shows that get sent out via iTunes. If you use iTunes, this is a simple way to get the music even if you have a bad memory, just sign up and then every time I put the show on line, it downloads to your computer/iPod/phone etc etc. Subscribing to the mailing list is an alternative if you don’t like iTunes. You can also see the latest podcast on the home page.
Next up is my occasional blog. From time to time thoughts come into my head that I want to share and sometimes I try to inspire discussion. Recently the blogs have been getting great feedback so as and when these will continue. I did use to enjoy the ease of using Facebook for the nonsense topics, but don’t worry I’m not about to export those to here. I have thought about using twitter but I don’t like the idea of trying to be funny for funny’s sake (believe it or not).
Actually… totally off topic, I caught an interview with Ricky Gervais on Piers Morgan the other day (available via Gervais podcasts on iTunes). I’m not sure if it was to do with timing or whatever but I really related to everything he was saying.. if you’re in the slightest bit interested go take a listen… you’ll get where I’m coming from !
I will now revert to using YouTube for any music videos, and the UStream channel remains for whenever I decide to do a videcast, although I doubt I will be doing any more for the Vocal Booth Club Sessions, the last few I did without the video where far more enjoyable as I do like to let myself shock out a bit when I’m mixing and prefer to do that in private.
Merchandise is generally connected to the Vocal Booth Weekender, which once had it’s home on my site, but as you know now has it’s own fully functional site at www.vocalboothweekender.com. I do limit talking about that event here, again there is the facility to subscribe to that seperate mailing list on the home page. There are some tasty looking garments available now and a whole new batch will be added ahead of the 2011 event.
Finally, ahead of this week’s show which goes on air shortly (Thu 8pm GMT), a reminder for our Vocal Booth party in London on Saturday 16th Apr. The Vocal Booth Family are going to be in full effect for our first official London reunion and I am sure it’s going to be a great party. One half of me wants to stay relatively sober to make sure I remember the whole night and, more importantly, play the best I can.. the other half wants to get shit faced drunk. Can you guess which half will win ?
12th Jan 25 VB Radio Show with Andy Ward. A tribute to Paks.
