Earlier this year I caught up with Zepeherin Saint at the Groove Odyssey event in Ibiza. It had been some time since we’d spoke, I think coincidentally the last time being in Miami.
I recalled seeing word of an event he did around WMC (Winter Music Conference Miami), a boat cruise. When I asked him about it he gave me all the details and said he’d be in touch with news about the next one when it was released.
I’ve been to Miami around 6 or 7 times. I went every year from ’97 until the kids were born, and then a few times after that up until 2005. I was fortunate enough to play at some of the biggest events out there, from Defected to Mn2S parties, as well as headlining a MAW event. It doesn’t get much better than that really, does it!
Miami is one of those weird places that looks so much better on TV than in real life. I’d even go as far as to say most of the Ocean Beach area is a shit hole, although not having been for 12 years (WOW… 12 years, WTF !?!?) I’m sure it’s got it’s act together now and is even more false and garish and pretty and full of divs (I’m not selling it very well am I?)
That said, it’s a place you HAVE to visit to take in the charm and so you can get butterflies when you see it on the tele next time.
I digress… the details for the cruise are now out and I mentioned it to a few people, face to face and on FB, and it seems like we could get a nice little possé together to attend the Tribe & Tambor Miami to Bahamas Cruise, from May 4 – 8th 2018.
Before the cruise, Michelle and I will take in some of Ocean Drive/Ocean Beach and then on the way home we’ll spend a few days in Portugal, as that’s where our connections are.

Once I had confirmed my attendance and put my deposit down on my cabin, I was asked if I wanted to be an ‘Ambassador’. This means that when you book, if you select my name in the drop down list (that’s ANDY, in case you didn’t know) then we all get roomed close by one another and I get a pat on the back for inviting lots of people as well as a small incentive for my efforts. First round of drinks on me!
I was also invited by Zepherin to play at the official after-party once the boat docks.
Come on, get involved! I reckon we could easily be 20-40 strong, I think there’s 10 people already confirmed.

Prices for the ALL-INCLUSIVE CRUISE and parties are around £400 per person, and flights from the UK to Miami are nowhere near as expensive as you think. If you do want to come, then let me know and we could even rent a huge villa between us in Miami before the cruise?
