Today started off really well. I set out nice and early with the intention of running 12k, ended up getting 16km in along the shores of the Mar Menor. Beautiful.
Whilst I ran I listened to an old Vocal Booth Club Sessions. It was a pretty tight and banging mix, if I do say so myself ! For anyone not familiar with the VBCS, it was a podcast I used to do every two weeks on SSRadio and it hit the number one spot every time. I can’t even think when I began but got up to Episode 73 before I stopped. Unfortunately there are only the last two episodes currently showing in the iTunes store. All is not lost.
I was so inspired by the mix that kept me going on my run, that I have decided to relaunch the series, beginning again from Episode 1, putting them out and storing them on my own server/podcast channel. This will give anyone that may have missed them a chance to grab the entire series again (every mix is two hours long.. two hours x 73 episodes is a LOT of banging music !).
I am about to build a new site and get the podcast set up, so watch this space ! Thank you to Matt and everyone at SSRadio for the help in getting this much-loved podcast off the ground and what was in effect the beginnings of the birth of the VBW.
P.S – I say the day STARTED off well… I came home with the intention of recording a new mix and yet all the running has dislodged some wax in my ear canal and now I can’t hear a thing out of my left ear. Bummer.
