Just over 6 years ago I started a label as a platform for “Friends of the Vocal Booth Weekender” to release their talent, utilising my network of friends and followers to get the word out.
These were tracks that weren’t necessarily going to be smashing dance floors or in the front of the big DJs CD wallets but tunes I believed in.
We enjoyed some great releases before having to close the label due to Reelgroove (our sister label) closing and me not wanting to get sucked into the nonsense of accounting 30p every month to the artists.
I’ve just come across the label folder on my Hard Drive and am reminded of how great these tracks are and why I wanted to share them with the world.
These are no longer available anywhere on line to purchase.
In the coming weeks I’m going to be re-releasing as many of the tracks as I am allowed, FOR FREE, along with some remixes and edits that were never released. I also smile thinking at how far some of the artists have progressed since their early productions.
To get the ball rolling, here is SOB001. My own production alongside Rainy Payne on vocals with remix from Park Street aka Richard Pring.
It features a rather BIG remix from Myself and Timmy Vegas that was never released due to us having a lover’s tiff at the time.

As this is my own release and I’m no longer playing out, I’m not really concerned with the exposure this can bring however I would like to get it to as many people as possible, so please feel free to share with your networks and favourite DJs.
