Someone sent me an email referring to this year as “The 1-2”.  I like that, I might nick it.  I might not.  Here’s a few words as life gets back to normal after Xmas and New Year.
Yesterday I took my decorations down, Christmas really didn’t feel that long this year, and with
the weather being constant sun and topping 17 degrees here it felt right to rip them down and get back to normal.  The kids went back to school today, in Spain they don’t celebrate Santa Claus.. their presents focus on the 6th January and the ones to bring the gifts are the Three Kings.  So now that’s all finished we begin the year properly this morning as I waved everyone off and got the marigolds on.
I held out as long as I could for an Australia tour and when it didn’t materialise it left me with a massive hole for New Year’s Eve and to start off my year.  All good.. I’m happy to live on bread and water for a few months.
So far, the first gig of the year comes on Feb 25th in London.  I’ve heard great things about the venue and the party itself so am looking forward to returning to the capital for the first time in the 1-2 (see what I did there!)
 
In the meantime, the Vocal Booth radio show returns this Thursday and I will be starting up the Vocal Booth Club Sessions again this weekend.  These will resume as normal on the previous iTunes channel although the time they go out on SSradio will change.  I will confirm all the details when I post the show up.
I am also impatiently waiting to switch server on the VB website.  I’ve been working on the new site for weeks now, every day I tweak something else or add more detail. It’s been ready for ages. The only thing holding me back is the podcasts.  The last sets were sent out before the weekend so it’s only fair to leave them be a week or so before I mess up the flow.  Once the new site is launched I will be sending out the entire set again so they locate to the new server and are visible in the iTunes store.

I’ve started a remix in the last few days and look forward to getting back in the studio with Deep Josh in a few weeks, as well as spending a few days in Birmingham with Timmy Vegas working on some new Soul Central material. Talking of Soul Central… did you ever hear this that came out on CR2 ? It didn’t really amount to much as I didn’t see much support from the label and I never spun it on the show as it was a little too clubby.

Thanks to everyone sending me messages more and more and the regular comments on the blog, it’s always good to get feedback. I’m still trying to get into Twitter (username = handyward) but the shit that comes out of most of the celebs is so inane it puts me off. You know I don’t like to make a fool of myself !
