In the true spirit of the Vocal Booth Weekender, what started off as a casual conversation between Danny J Lewis and myself has turned into something very tasty indeed.
Point Blank Online Production Seminar
With releases on Defected/4th Floor/Masters at Work Records/Enzyme Black and lecturing experience of over eight years, Danny J Lewis will be representing award-winning music college www.pointblankonline.net at the Vocal Booth Weekender 2010.
He will be bringing to you an exclusive music production seminar and Q&A session based upon the incredibly successful online Deep and Soulful House Course – see below for more information. This is a rare opportunity to see Danny in action outside of the point blank courses and for those of you who are ex-students, the perfect chance to meet your ex-tutor and discuss things further.
Deep and Soulful House Course – Logic
With Louie Vega and Jimpster checking out tracks from this course thanks to Point Blank’s music industry partnerships, this is a fantastic opportunity to get your stuff heard in the right places – after polishing your technique.
Learn how to make Deep and Soulful House tracks to truly rival the pro’s. If you are a fan of producers across this genre from Kerri Chandler and Masters at Work to the deeper sounds of Charles Webster and Jimpster then this course will reveal production techniques and secrets to help you achieve your own credible and authentic sound. Using Logic Pro, you will create your own drum kits, synth sounds, basslines, riffs and chords and for many, finally learn how to ‘finish’ a track. Upload your music each week for DVR™- expert analysis and video feedback on your work from pro producer Danny J Lewis (Defected / Enzyme Black).
One thing of importance – Two ex-students from this course – Logistix and Miles Newman – are on the 2010 line up!

GREAT! I did this online course last August and it was so much fun. I really learned a lot and can’t wait to meet Danny finally in person.
Makes me wish I had a mac and logic 🙁
Can’t wait to meet Danny at VB2010 🙂
And you Ward I suppose 😉
…nice one – you can NEVER know enough, and what a perfect opportunity – like Rich, it’s a shame I don’t use a Mac or Logic, but I’m sure I’ll get something out of this!!
I did the course as well and looking forward to this!
