As I prepare to head to Birmingham tomorrow for the Choice Reunion, I cast my mind back to the amazing times when I took to the airwaves.
I was DJing heavily throughout the Midlands and my residency at Marco Polo’s on a Sunday night was THE most important thing for me and many others musically.
I have spent the last few days recording tracks from vinyl in order to play at the weekend. I know many people will be wanting to hear me play some big 2 step numbers as I was one of the first DJs to spread the sound before it blew up Nationwide, but many will forget that the early Choice FM days (circa 1995) were all about quality, deep and soulful HOUSE music.
I have shared this set numerous times before and am sending it out again as a podcast for anyone that may have missed it.
It is recorded one Sunday evening at Marco’s.
Enjoy – and see one or two of you Sunday.
