I intended to do a party for my ‘big’ birthday last year, but for one reason or another it never materialised.
To make amends, this year I am inviting all of my friends to get together in my home town for a night of great music, provided by DJs and non-DJs. I put my faith in Andrew Comarsh who has been a great friend for many years and has an unquestionable ear for superb music. Joining him will be fellow “Titan” from last year’s Vocal Booth Weekender clash, “Soul” Emma Yeap. Alongside the ‘non-DJs’, I entrust two great guys who will definitely deliver the goods, my fellow Pressure Radio buddies Pugwash & Miloe.
The night will be a journey through all that is soulful, and if I am still standing at the end of the night I may even play a tune or two myself.
The venue, Sense Bar & Club, used to be one of Birmingham’s coolest hang outs as 52 Degrees North. A whole new refit in the many years since then provides us with a great setting to have a good old fashioned party, great music with great friends.. it’s what alcohol was invented for ! There are two rooms and how busy it gets (or not) decides how the night flows. Doors open at 8pm and the party goes on until 3am, meaning all the old farts can come early doors and still get home on the last bus.
To get on the Free Guest List, just click the flyer and add your name to the event page on Facebook. All of the names I recognise will get guaranteed free admission, with a limited number of extra guests getting in for free before a small admission charge is implemented on the door. Also, please click this link to subscribe to my mailing list, the week of the gig I will send out a code to ensure free entry also for any of your friends I may not know.
This may be the last chance for us all to get together ahead of the VBW, and I am thoroughly looking forward to having a good old fashioned House Party with my best buddies.
