Sounds Of The Booth continues its showcase of underground UK talent!
Angus Campbell is far from a stranger to the studio or the limelight. As well as being cousin to UB40‘s Ali Campbell, he has already achieved UK Top 10 status as one half of the B15 Project. Hailing from Birmingham (UK) and the first person to help me get my head around the track building process late 90’s, Angus & I released a few remixes as UKG outfit In 2 Deep prior to me teaming up with Timmy Vegas. It now gives me great joy to welcome a good friend to the label.
Angus teams up with a transatlantic soulful songstress, Donna Hidalgo, to deliver a positive message to anyone that cares to receive it. You can hear Donna talking about the track and it’s sentiment on last week’s Vocal Booth. A strong original is backed by a carefully selected remix package from names to watch out for, supported by my stripped back edit which was inspired by Euan Mitchell‘s mix.
Talking of Euan, he put together a great video which shows some very cute faces of some not so cute individuals, and his viral campaign has seen the video get over 1000 hits in less than a week, a first for us on the label and a great achievement considering the nature of the music we provide and the audience we aim for.
