On Saturday 16th June, one of Birmingham’s best known soulful house DJs and a true legend of the mid 90s talked about his musical history around the UK and beyond. During that history Patrick Smoove and I became good friends.
In this podcast, at over 3 hours in length containing some pretty outstanding music, I talk to Patrick about how he was possibly THE biggest influence in my own journey and we have one or two hysterical moments of disagreement regarding the timeline.
After listening back to check it all flows properly (I only added music, none of the talk is edited), what’s clear is that this is as close to a gay love story you’ll ever get between two hetrosexual men. I cried at the end of it.
