Andy Ward – 5 hour Terrace Session May 20

Much of the content  is removed from the server after a few weeks.

Most radio shows and mixes should be available on my Mixcloud Channel or YouTube Archives

If there is anything specific you are after that you cannot find, get in touch as I hopefully have it saved on my Hard Drive.

Andy Ward – 5 hour Terrace Session May 20

Bank holiday Monday, Sat enjoying the sounds of Jeff Garcia on Pressure Radio, I decided to set up my DJ controller on the terrace and test out the stream. Five hours later, we have this little beauty.

I was using BUTT for the first time which worked like a dream and recorded without a hitch. I did have a couple of ‘issues’ with my controller but seeing as it’s only for home use that’s not too much of a concern.

Set Up:

  • Pioneer XDJ-RX + Sandisk 500GB SSD HardDrive
  • Master Out from controller into Citronic Ac-1 USB interface (connects audio to Mac)
  • Booth out into a JBL Charge 3 for audio (could have easily managed with just headphones)
  • 2019 Macbook Pro running BUTT streaming software, connected to Pressure Radio Server
  • USB3 hub with Ethernet in and USB ports
  • Headphones & Mic
  • Hardwired ethernet cable via D-Link Powerline Adaptor, giving me super fast internet anywhere on the same electricity circuit

Streaming Gear I use and recommend:

Mac Mini M1 2020 (upgrade to 16GB RAM) =
Elgato Stream Deck =

1 x AOC U2879G6

1 x AOC 24B1W

Sony ZV1 =
Logitech Brio 4k (x2) =

Wave XLR =
DJI Mic2 =

DJ Kit:

Shure 55s Radio Mic =
DJ Controller = Pioneer XDJ-XZ
Technics 1210 Turntables =
Stylus; Ortofon DJ =

Set For Love: Andy Ward 3 Hour Vinyl Only Session.

Recorded live on Friday 22nd March, World Water Day 2024, this audio-only extract is from a live stream in conjunction with Last Night A DJ Saved My Life and CastRooms. A fantastic session and a really great showreel of my musical tastes and mixing skills which I’ve taken so much pride in down the years.
